Amy Macy, M.A., N.C.C. has over a decade of experience in education, college admissions, founding college counseling, honors, and post-secondary support programs, and creating a highly successful business. Named Counselor of the Month by The State of Colorado in December of 2013, Macy has been widely recognized for her efforts within the field of college and post-secondary counseling. Amy is the former Director of College Counseling at Denver Academy. A summa cum laude graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder, she holds a Masters in Counseling Psychology from the University of Colorado at Denver. As a former Admissions Counselor at the University of Colorado at Boulder, Amy has a unique perspective that allows her to counsel students with a competitive edge; she knows what college admissions representatives are looking for in their candidates. Amy is highly knowledgeable about colleges that match various learning profiles, including gifted and talented students and students with learning differences. She presents frequently at conferences and publishes on the topics of admissions and counseling students with learning differences.
Monica Huggins, M.A., has dedicated her career to helping students successfully transition from high school to college. Through her 20+ years of experience working in higher education and college admissions, she is uniquely poised to counsel and advise students and their families on all aspects of the college search and application process. Prior her work as a high school college counselor, Monica was the Associate Director of Admissions for St. John’s College in Santa Fe, and also worked at M.I.T. and New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. In addition to the knowledge she’s gained and the relationships she's built with college admissions professionals from around the U.S. and internationally, she has been highly involved in the National Association of College Admissions Counseling, serving on national committees, and is also Past President of the Rocky Mountain Association for College Admissions Counseling.
