Macy College Consulting is a dynamic business focusing on excellent customer service and support of students who are transitioning to college. We are a local and established company that provides comprehensive independent college counseling packages and ACT/SAT tutoring. We are hiring for two great ACT and SAT tutors. If you're looking for supplemental income and like helping students, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Requirements:

• College graduate

• Confident in all subject areas of the ACT and SAT; knowledge of test format and some strategies for instructing and testing

• Prior ACT/SAT tutoring and/or other teaching experience preferred

• Availability on nights and weekends to work with students 

• Access to reliable transportation

• Ability to build trusting relationships with students

• Willing to travel for two-hour tutoring sessions

• Excited to learn and improve; open to feedback

• Ability to email students, parents, and supervisors with detailed, professional notes from each tutoring session upon completion

 

Our tutors can expect:

• A stream of students to choose from

• A reliable payment schedule

• Support from us; we appreciate our tutors and take good care of them!

• $30-$50 per hour depending on experience with potential for increase based on performance

 

Our prime tutoring hours occur weekday evenings and weekends. Our average tutor works 4-6 hours a week. This is an independent contractor position.
